| Dr. Hamida Akhtar Begum, formally trained as a psychologist, is an eminent scholar in Bangladesh contributing to the field of psychology and related areas of social sciences including gender and development. She graduated with Honours in Philosophy from the University of Dhaka in 1961. She bagged two Master degrees one in Philosophy in 1962 and one in Psychology in 1963. Soon after she joined the Department of Philosophy and Psychology in January, 1964 and continued teaching till her retirement in 2008. |

John Martin completed his B.Sc (Hons) and Masters in Psychology and currently undertaking PhD in psychology at Macquarie University, Australia. The major focus of his thesis is on trauma related complexities and posttraumatic growth.
John Martin has a long history of working with children and adolescents. He started his career as a research assistant with one of the largest research in Bangladesh screening 10,000 children for disability research in 1987. |
